Instructions for Use:

Cheek to Cheek Compass (Most Accurate):

(1) Open and fold the compass cover to a vertical position. Unfold the thumb loop fully and tilt the rear sight to about 45 degrees. When the compass is held up to the cheek, the rear sight should clearly magnify the compass dial. If the compass dial is not in focus, adjust the angle accordingly.

(2) Place your thumb in the thumb loop and rest the bottom of the compass on your fingers. Use your index finger to hold the compass in place.

(3) Hold the compass next to your cheek and align with the desired location with the sighting wire. Sight the dial to get a reading.

Compass Holding Method:

(1) Fold the compass and hold the compass between your waist and chest.

(2) Place your thumb in the thumb loop and rest the bottom of the compass on your fingers. Use your index finger to hold the compass in place.

(3) Point the compass at the desired location and look at the dial to get a reading.
